We are also the driving force behind Orang Laut SG, a local ground-up initiative and non-profit organisation. Our mission is to empower indigenous voices and, importantly, to safeguard and celebrate our rich traditions and knowledge.

In the last few years, The Black Sampan has reinvested our resources in creating educational and heritage programmes about Singapore's indigenous histories for our non-profit organisation.
